Built-in precision laser rangefinder
The Axion XQ38 4 x 288 @ 17 µm thermal image sensor with NETD 40 mK ensures perfect detail recognition even in the toughest weather conditions with low thermal contrast. The smallest temperature differences are clearly visible in rain, fog or in the cold morning under the most difficult conditions for thermal imaging devices.
Lightweight and robust housing made of magnesium alloy
The housing made of a light magnesium alloy ensures high dimensional stability and robustness. The low weight of the monocular telescope makes it a perfect option for long outdoor excursions when a light yet powerful device is required.
Detection range up to over 1350 meters
A powerful F38 / 1.2 objective lens in combination with a highly sensitive thermal image sensor with 384 x 288 @ 17 µm offers exceptional detection possibilities. A 1.8 m high standard object can be recognized in complete darkness at a distance of up to 1350 m.
Image boost technology
Pulsar's proprietary Image Boost technology consists of software algorithms designed to improve image sharpness and overall image detail. Image Boost leads to a sharper, more detailed field of view and improved functions for object identification.
3 seconds start time
Due to the pioneering technology, the Axion can be switched on almost immediately. Quick start extends battery life and increases overall operating time. Thanks to the immediate start-up, the device can be activated quickly when every second counts.
IPX7 Complete waterproofness
IPX7 Fully waterproof to protect against heavy rain, snow or other precipitation. The device is designed in such a way that it works flawlessly for up to 30 minutes even after being immersed in water up to 1 meter deep.
HD AMOLED full color display
The new HD display offers a clear, high-contrast and colorful field of vision. The AMOLED technology ensures error-free, stable, high-resolution images and energy savings.
The 8-color palette improves display in various conditions. While the classic White Hot mode is exceptionally versatile, Hot Black is often preferred for night time wildlife detection. Red monochrome reduces or prevents bright backlighting from exiting the eyepiece. Sepia often improves remote viewing, while Red Hot, Rainbow, and Ultramarine improve the temperature differences between various object attributes. Purple helps identify objects faster.
B-Pack mini APS5 battery system
The high-capacity quick-change Li-Ion battery offers an operating time of 5 hours on a single charge. Quick and easy battery change in combination with immediate activation guarantee continuous and error-free observation. A normal power bank connected via a USB Type-C port can be used as an external power source.
Variable digital zoom from 3.5x to 14x
The up to 4x digital zoom offers improved focus and better general object recognition at considerable distances. The zoom changes either step by step in 2-fold steps or continuously in order to obtain a really optimal, individual field of view for the respective situation.
The image optimization should be carried out depending on the location and the environmental conditions. Mountains, cities and forests have different ambient temperatures. In order to achieve the highest possible image quality, certain settings have been optimized and combined in profiles. This makes optimized imaging under different conditions easier. The identification preset is another option for optimal imaging that makes identification easier even over long distances.
Picture-in-picture shows an enlarged image in a frame 10% of the field of view in the upper display field in order to zoom in on the observation object more precisely.
Video and freeze image recording
The built-in video recorder is a great asset when it comes to filming or photographing unique experiences. One press of the REC button captures footage that can be easily shared with colleagues, friends and family. 16 GB of internal storage provides hours of recorded video and loads of photos.
The stadiometric rangefinder is a dynamic distance measuring scale that can be used to determine the approximate distance to objects with a known height of 1.7 m (deer), 0.7 m (wild boar) and 0.3 m (hare).
Wi-fi. Integration with IOS and Android devices
The integrated Wi-Fi module provides the connection between the thermal imaging device and the Android and iOS smartphones or tablets. The combination of smartphone and thermal imager offers a number of unique features such as direct image streaming, downloading and sharing recorded files, firmware update functions and many others.
