PULSAR thermal imaging device Helion 2 XQ38F

One step forward in Thermovision

The operating range of Helion 2 thermal imaging devices includes professional and semi-professional use, including hunting, scouting and rescue operations. Hunters looking for game in the forest; Hiking enthusiasts who want to protect their camping area at night; Security guards searching for suspects; Civil defense officers in search of survivors or missing persons; - The functionality of the Pulsar Helion offers the right choice for all purposes.

High resolution thermal image sensor

Thanks to the NETD <40 mK thermal image sensor, the Helion 2 thermal imaging devices provide a precise definition of the object image under bad weather conditions such as rain or fog.

Full color HD AMOLED display

The new AMOLED display with an HD resolution of 1024x768 offers improved color reproduction, economical power consumption, high contrast and a fast response time and delivers clear and even images when observing on the move or in cold weather.

Impact-resistant magnesium alloy housing

The lightweight housing made of a magnesium alloy is characterized by high structural strength and resistance to external mechanical and climatic influences. The material of the housing removes and dissipates the heat generated by the operation of electronic components effectively, thus ensuring stable operation of the thermal imaging device and high image quality during long-term observation.

Observation distance 1350 meters

The effective range of an object in size (1.8x0.5 m) under field conditions (a person in outer clothing, in the field with the forest in the background) is 1350 m for the XQ38F.

B-pack power supply

Helion thermal imaging devices have an autonomous B-Pack power supply. It consists of a quickly exchangeable IPS7 power supply unit that guarantees 10-13 hours of operation in the most activated mode. Powerful IPS14 battery packs, as well as CR123A and AA battery compartments are also available and ensure a perfect operating mode.

Stadiametric range finder

Helion has an integrated stadiametric rangefinder, which is displayed as a scale and precisely measures the distance to the observation object of a certain size (deer - 1.7 m; wild boar - 0.7 m; hare - 0.3 m) and on the Screen displays.

Color palettes

In addition to the popular “white hot” and “black hot” images, the Helion offers 8 color palettes for accurate color reproduction of the temperature map. The transition from a color palette to the standard “white hot” function is also quick and easy.

Remote control and live internet streaming

A highlight of Helion is the ability to connect the device to the Android or iOS mobile device with the activated Stream Vision app via Wi-Fi. Stream Vision App Firmware connects your Helion thermal imaging device with Android / iOS smartphone or tablet and enables you to receive recorded files in real-time mode, to control your Helion remotely using your smartphone, and to transfer recorded videos to YouTube online.

Variable magnification

Variable zoom, up to twelve times, offers a wider focus and better object recognition at greater distances.

Image Boost technology

Pulsar's proprietary Image Boost technology consists of software algorithms designed to improve image sharpness and overall image detail. Image Boost leads to a sharper, more detailed field of view and improved functions for object identification.

Completely waterproof

Helion thermal imaging devices can be operated in precipitation of any intensity. Thanks to IPX7 (IEC 60529), heavy rain or snow will not cause any damage.

Updatable firmware

The Stream Vision app, which is compatible with iOS and Android, was developed for the initial installation and additional updates. Stream Vision always provides you with the latest versions of the firmware.

External power supply

Helion thermal imaging devices have a micro-USB interface that enables the supply of external power supply units such as power banks. The power bank supplies the device even in extremely cold weather and protects it from rapid discharge.

User interface

The Helion 2 was designed to be easy to use. The devices have a simple menu, an easy-to-read display, can be steered with pictograms and are characterized by an alphanumeric status line in the upper part of the display. Internal menu items are shown on the high-contrast background so that you can adjust your device without losing sight of what is happening. Power saving mode If the observation is to be stopped briefly, the user can activate the power saving function (switching off the display). This function guarantees the shooter to avoid being unmasked by the residual light from the device. Of course also between

Power saving mode

If the observation is to be stopped briefly, the user can activate the power saving function (switching off the display). This function guarantees the shooter to avoid being unmasked by the residual light from the device. Of course, between observational approaches and a new start. (The display remains switched off, while all other systems continue to function. To activate the device, one only needs to switch on the display).

Large temperature range

The frost-resistant AMOLED display with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels ensures trouble-free operation at extreme temperatures of -25 ° C - + 50 ° C.

Remote control (optional)

An ergonomically shaped remote control panel with a control wheel offers absolutely simple control.

Effective temperature stabilization of the sensor

The cooling fins on the housing of the device prevent the sensor and other components from overheating.
