A completely new feature of the OPERATOR is the ability to reduce the luminous flux to a maximum of 300 lumens by simply turning the rear.
Why does the new OPERATOR have this function?
Quite simply: Many emergency services complained that in access scenarios, e.g. in apartments, the risk of self-dazzling from one's own flashlight is very high - there is often a white wall in a short distance directly behind an entrance door, or worse: a mirror! The reflection there and the associated risk of dazzle brings emergency services into tricky situations again and again. The reduction to a maximum of 300 lumens can be set quickly and safely with gloves on, even in complete darkness.
Should the situation make it necessary and you have to confuse the perpetrator immediately with the strobe flash, a strong pressure on the rear switch is enough and the TA30 OPERATOR flashes with a full 1300 ANSI lumens. The tactical rear switch has two stages: In the first stage, the TA30 delivers either 300 or 1300 ANSI-LUMEN * - depending on what was previously selected by the rotary switch.
In the second stage, which can be clearly felt via a clear feedback on the thumb, you get the stroboscopic flash, which always fires with 1300 lumens.
The pressure switch at the rear does not engage! It is purely tactical and ensures that the TA30 OPERATOR only lights up when the switch is pressed - this is particularly important in order not to become a tactical target yourself, for example, because you can reveal your own position thanks to the continuous light.
In addition to the tactical tail switch, the NEXTORCH TA30 OPERATOR also has a patented ring switch (patent no .: CN201621489195.1), which can be used once to preselect the maximum light intensity (300 or 1300 lumens) of the tactical tail switch, or the permanent light and dimmer -Function returns. With this rotary switch, the TA30 OPERATOR can be used, for example, as a reading lamp for ID checks. Even when the reading light is switched on, dimmed, the tactical rear switch can be used to activate full brightness with 1300 ANSI lumens * or the stroboscopic flash at any time!
The housing of the NEXTORCH TA30 OPERATOR consists of a special aluminum that is extremely resistant thanks to a hardening process. Despite the enormous resistance of this tactical flashlight, the OPERATOR is surprisingly light.
In contrast to the conventional TA30, the color has been heavily matted and the black coloring can now also be found on the lens crown - a measure that effectively minimizes light reflections during tactical missions.
Nano-ceramic balls are embedded in the matt black lens crown of the NEXTORCH TA30 OPERATOR. These balls are not pointed or sharp-edged - but they clear every pane (vehicle glazing, for example) at lightning speed and safely out of the way.
The supplied lithium-ion battery is triple protected and ensures long periods of use: a full 2.5 hours of running time at 1300 ANSI lumens * are guaranteed when the battery is fully charged.
To charge the battery, it has its own USB port! So finally nobody is dependent on special chargers anymore - this USB battery can be charged on any mobile phone charger or in the vehicle!
Thanks to its compact dimensions, this flashlight is ideal for use in patrol duty or for special forces also for concealed carrying for civil investigators or bodyguards.
